Each goal gets its own SIP sized to its own horizon, which is how a plan should be built: one fund per goal, not one pot for everything. Enter goal amounts in future rupees; the Inflation calculator converts today's prices. Short goals should use a lower return than long ones.

One fund per goal

A single pot for every goal invites the wrong fund and the wrong withdrawal: money for a car in three years should not be in the same place as retirement money for twenty-five. The clean approach is a separate SIP for each goal, sized to its own amount and date, so each can sit in an appropriate fund and be redeemed on its own schedule.

This planner takes up to three goals and returns the monthly SIP each needs, plus the total your budget has to carry. If the total is more than you can manage, the calculator makes the trade-off visible: stretch a date, trim an amount or find a higher savings rate.

Annuity-due SIP for each goal

SIP = target / [ ((1 + i)^n - 1) / i x (1 + i) ],  i = r/12, n = years x 12\nTotal = SIP1 + SIP2 + SIP3

Worked example: Rs 25 lakh in 8 years, Rs 50 lakh in 15 and Rs 1 crore in 25, all at 12%, need SIPs of Rs 15,477, Rs 9,909 and Rs 5,270 respectively: Rs 30,656 a month in total for Rs 1.75 crore of goals. The nearest goal costs the most per month.

Frequently asked questions

Should all three use the same return?

Ideally not: a goal three years away belongs in debt at 6-7%, one twenty-five years away in equity. Run the planner at a conservative blended rate, or run it once per goal at the rate that suits it.

Do I need three different funds?

Three folios or three SIPs in suitable funds, yes. It costs nothing extra and makes redemptions and tracking clean. Short goals in debt or hybrid funds, long goals in equity.

The total is more than I can save. What do I cut?

Start with dates, not amounts: pushing a goal out by two years cuts its SIP sharply. Then look at the amount. Retirement is usually the one that should not be trimmed.

What about money I already have?

Assign it to the nearest goal first, then run the Goal SIP with Corpus calculator for that goal alone and this planner for the rest.

Every goal gets its own plan.

We build a goal map with a fund and a SIP for each, and review it every year as dates and amounts change.
